Greetings and salutations Folks!
Big news.....Master (AKA Double R Clay Works at Back Alley Studio) was recognized again in the Texas State Fair! Last year, Master entered two Clay Works, and received awards of 2nd Place (Glaze Combinations) and Honorable Mention (Raku).....This year, five (of six pieces entered) received recognition! Including 1st Place (Blue Ribbon), two 3rd Place Awards, and two Honorable Mentions. (The 2025 awards are noted on the pieces in this website).
If you like canine updates, clearly you are an intelligent and discriminating Human of impeccable taste. For the rest of you two-legged walkers,

OK, let's just get this out of the way now.....YES, I am a DOG....Names' Max (Better known as, "Max, The Dog"). Never let anyone speak ill regarding your powers of observation. I'm a part of the pottery crew at Double R Clay Works. Truth be known beyond Master (a.k.a "Double R"), I'm the only employee of this fledgling enterprise. Even that title is questionable, given my current compensation package.
Any hoo, I agreed to help. (Hey, I gotta eat!) Among other interests, I like to write. So when Master asked me to compose an occasional Studio News update, I jumped in with all four feet!
